Getting the Job Done

When a Democratic candidate for a statewide office in a decidedly deep red state found himself in danger of falling short of qualifying for the ballot, he called on 5Thirteen Consulting. Our team embarked on an 18-day campaign to lock down over two-thirds of the state’s congressional districts. When the dust settled, the impossible became not just possible, but a reality.
Ballot access campaigns are incredibly difficult when time is short and the candidate is not of the party traditionally preferred by the electorate — but our combined teams faced both obstacles and yet, despite the odds, succeeded.

5Thirteen Consulting recently worked to ensure ballot access for Massachusetts Congressman Bill Keating. Despite the difficulties posed by Covid-19, we collected nearly 3,000 verifiable signatures. That’s about 2,000 more than the courts required in response to the pandemic, and it was all done without putting a single person in harm’s way or gathering a single signature digitally.

5Thirteen Consulting completed a successful 2020 fundraising campaign for the Louis D. Brown Institute – helping to raise $125K over the previous year's Mother’s Day Walk for Peace total, and $25K over the organization's 2020 goal. Of course, it was a virtual walk this year, making the process a bit more arduous, but we rose to the challenge!

5Thirteen Consulting had the distinct pleasure of working with Bob Andrews and Paul Brennan of Alfred's Finest to help them secure their Host Community Agreement with the Town of Plymouth for recreational cannabis sales. Our team, which included old friends Attorneys Edward and Timothy Angley, worked closely together to secure a positive outcome.
